The question that separates them: ask what they will not do. A studio that will reshape a body on request will also do it when nobody asked. Our line is that skin keeps its texture, the garment is corrected to the physical sample, and the body is not altered — and we will say so before the work starts rather than after. Send the frame with difficult skin and the one where the garment colour is hardest.
It depends on whether the images are heroes or a shoot. For a cover or campaign hero judged at full size, a specialist beauty retoucher working frame by frame is the strongest option. For a full shoot of hundreds of frames across several looks, where the garments also have to match their flat-lay shots, a studio with one consistent grade and a QC pass that compares frames against each other makes more sense; Retouch Atelier works in that band.
