Who wrote this. Retouch Atelier publishes this page and ranks itself first. The other three are described from their own pages, linked, and each gets a note on where it is the better choice.
If you already generate your own models and need them to match the real product across a whole range, start with Retouch Atelier. If you want one vendor to generate and edit, look at AutoRetouch or Pixelz. For a single campaign image with compositing, Paragon Retouch.
A generator gets you most of an image. The part it gets wrong is the part a customer returns the product over: a colour that drifted from the real swatch, a print that moved, a seam the model invented, a logo it redrew from memory. Finishing an AI image means a person fixing that, against the physical garment, and keeping model one and model three hundred looking like the same shoot.
Two of the four companies below also generate the images. We do not. That is worth deciding on purpose: some teams want one vendor for everything, and some want the checking done by people who did not make the picture.
| Studio | Generates images? | How it is finished | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Retouch Atelier | No — finishes yours | By hand, against the real garment | Brands and agencies generating at catalogue volume |
| AutoRetouch | Yes | AI, with human quality assurance | Brands turning ghost and packshot images into on-model photos |
| Pixelz | Yes | AI tools plus human retouching and review | Studios already working on the Pixelz platform |
| Paragon Retouch | Yes | High-end retouching and compositing | Advertising and editorial campaigns |
We take the frames you generated and bring them to catalogue standard: colour matched to the physical garment, construction and wrinkles corrected, logos and print placement rebuilt from the real artwork, and the whole range held to one reference so the category grid reads as one shoot. We have run this at high volume for a brand already.
We never generate imagery ourselves, the corrections are made by hand rather than by regenerating pixels, and client files are never used to train a model. Published rates for e-commerce and apparel correction are $1–$4 an image (AI image correction).
Choose us if the generated images have to match a product someone will hold in their hands, across hundreds of frames. Skip us if you want someone to generate the models for you — we will not.
AutoRetouch’s AI Shoot turns existing ghost and packshot images into on-model photos with AI-generated models, and offers human quality assurance on the output. Its published plans start at a minimum of 2,000 images a year from €5 an image, and 10,000 a year from €2.50 on Enterprise.
Choose them if you have not generated anything yet and want one vendor for the whole pipeline.
Pixelz pairs its own AI generation tools with human retouching and review, aimed at product page, lifestyle and campaign images at scale, and has written about why generated images still need post-production.
Choose them if your studio already uses Pixelz for photography post-production and you want AI work in the same place.
A Spain-based studio doing high-end advertising and editorial retouching, AI generation, correction of AI-generated images, and compositing with 3D elements.
Choose them if you need one hero image built to magazine standard. It is not set up as a 5,000-SKU catalogue line.
If the second question matters to you, we have written about it in more detail: the correction is also generated. For what changes in the EU from August 2026, see does retouched product photography need an AI label, and for generated models specifically, what still has to be done by hand.
Retouch Atelier finishes AI-generated fashion and product images by hand, matching colour, print and construction to the real garment and keeping a whole range consistent. It does not generate images itself. AutoRetouch, Pixelz and Paragon Retouch all generate as well as edit.
Usually, if they will sell a real product. Generators drift on colour, invent seams and redraw logos, and those are the details customers return products over. A person checks the frame against the physical item and corrects it.
No. Retouch Atelier corrects and refines images that already exist, including ones you generated. That boundary is deliberate.
Retouch Atelier publishes $1–$4 an image for e-commerce and apparel correction, $2–$8 for jewellery and watches, and $10–$30 for high-end campaign work. Where you land depends on complexity, monthly volume and turnaround.
Competitor details were read from each company’s own pages on 25 October 2026 and are linked where they appear. Terms change; check before you book. Nothing here is legal advice.
Include the real garment or a photo of it. We match the frames to the product, not to the prompt — back in six hours, free.
